Origin and Sustainability

Composition: Pure Merino Wool

Lovingly knitted in Nottingham, England.

In Nottingham, the City of Lace, manufacturers have been knitting delicate lace-knit shawls like these for babies of celebrities and British and European royalty alike for generations.

Use & Care

Ready to wear... As part of the traditional hand-finishing process, these baby shawls are washed and pressed using gentle products suitable for sensitive skin so they are ready for immediate use next to the skin.

Hand wash with pure soap flakes or a wool-approved detergent like , in water up to 30°C.

Allow to dry flat, naturally, away from direct sunlight and strong heat. Do not tumble-dry.

Note that the scalloped edges will naturally relax after washing. This is normal and does not deter from the quality of the product.

For a perfect finish - for those with some meditative time on their hands - gently pin out the scalloped edges, cover the shawl with a cloth and press with a cool iron.

Avoid use of regular laundry detergents. Although rarely mentioned on the label, even 'delicates' detergents usually contain bleach, which damages wool.  Look for detergents that are specifically advertised as safe for wool, not just delicates.
